How about admiring a sea of marguerites together with islands floating in the Seto Inland Sea?
Flower Park Urashima is located in Mitoyo city, Kagawa prefecture. It’s a flower field created in the agricultural area of Shonai peninsula that is dotted with famous places related to the Urashima legend. Actually Mitoyo city is Japan’s number one production area for marguerites.

There are footpaths in the middle of the field along which you can easily stroll. Walking through the sea of marguerites feels wonderful!

In addition to the marguerites, during the same season you can also see marigolds.

White marguerites, pink marguerites and marigolds… These have been planted and grown by local elementary school children.

Enjoy the luxury of admiring the sea while strolling around the colorful flower field!

If you get tired of walking, take a break on one of the benches. The view of the sea from here is the best!

From the flower field, you can also reach the seashore in about 2-minutes on foot. The large island is Awashima.
I recommend this beach as well. You can enjoy playing in the water after your stroll!

The best time to see the marguerites is from late April to mid-May, but even after that, you can enjoy a variety of seasonal flowers, such as poppies, sunflowers and cosmos flowers.
Do come and enjoy a refreshing walk in the flower field with spectacular views of the sea!
