Okayama Flavors in Tokyo! Lunchtime Roast Beef Made with A5 Rated Chiya Beef is a Gem!

Dear readers who reside in Tokyo,

Have you ever visited Tottori Okayama Shimbashi-kan, the antenna shop that opened in 2014? For those of you who work nearby, we recommend dining at Momotenashi-ya, the restaurant located on the second floor of the shop.

Fashionable and spacious, you would never think you were inside an antenna shop…

The menu changes according to the time of day.

First off, 11:00-14:30 is lunchtime.

Based on French cuisine, the lunchtime menu is a fashionable one.

The secret behind the restaurant's delicious flavors is the carefully chosen ingredients that are delivered straight from the farm! The vegetables and dressing used at the restaurant are the ones sold in the shop on the 1st floor. If you find something you particularly like, you can easily buy it to use at home.

The dish we recommend most highly is the roast beef plate made with Okayama prefecture's Niimi city grown Chiya beef!

As it's a very popular dish, we recommend aiming for an early timeslot before it sells out!

As you might expect of A5 rated wagyu (Japanese beef), the lean, soft, juicy meat has a refined flavor and fine texture.

In addition, the vegetables, the rice, and even the milk used in the soup are produced within the two prefectures.

After lunch, the menu changes for 14:30-17:00 teatime.

We particularly recommend this timeslot for the ladies!

Both Tottori and Okayama produce an abundance of fruit, so the restaurant serves sweets made with plenty of seasonal fruits.

French toast filled with fruit of the season…

Another dish we'd like to recommend for both lunch and teatime is the soft serve ice cream.

Tottori prefecture is known for Shirobara milk and Okayama for Hiruzen jersey milk. How about tasting soft serve ice cream made with each of the two types of milk? You can also top the ice cream with honey from Yamada Bee Farm.

By the way, you can buy both Shirobara and Hiruzen jersey milk on the 1st floor.

Dinnertime is 17:00-23:00.

Offering items that go perfectly with a drink, this timeslot offers a menu influenced by both Tottori and Okayama.

You can enjoy Okayama's sardinella and Tottori's sweet-sour leek pickles with some local sake… or try some of the popular lunch menu items, such as roast beef made with A5 rated Chiya beef. Whole fried jumbo-sized mushroom with local beer and wine is a nice idea, too… How about dropping by on your way home from work?

When talking about foods from Tottori and Okayama, there may still be lots of people who have no idea what they include.

This is a bistro café that allows customers to enjoy food that makes the best use of the ingredients’ natural flavors so that everyone knows just how delicious ingredients from both of these prefectures are!

If you happen to be close by, do drop in for a visit!
