This new hotel along the Kanmon-kaikyo Strait was newly built in 2018.
When you first step into the hotel, you enter an extraordinary world.
“Shimonoseki Onsen (hot spring) Kaze-no-Umi (The sea of wind)” is a new hotel opened in 2018.
The Japanese garden with pine trees is lit up at night.
You can see the bridge over the strait and the Northern-Kyusyu area behind the garden.
There are 32 rooms facing the strait, including some suites
Don’t forget that all rooms have a natural hot spring bath!
Moreover, the bath comes with a panoramic view of the strait from the window (of course there is a blind for the window, but as the steam would cover the glass, do not worry so much!)
Now, you can see that the stay here will be perfect because you do not even have to leave your room for the hot spring, right?
You can enjoy your own hot spring bath anytime you want.
All of the rooms are very spacious and relaxing.
Among them, there is the “SEA suite” room…, you might hope that you can stay in this room forever!
The soft drinks in the fridge are free of charge, and please do not forget to try the coffee, specially made for this hotel.
You may want to try the beauty salon “BLU SPA by C” on the second floor.
The salon provides esthetic facial treatments, and body or head massages, both for women and men.
Taste seasonal foods at the restaurant
“Sazanami (Ripple), ” the restaurant serves nice food using local ingredients, and the menu changes monthly.
Especially note the sensitive and colorful appetizers, which are very popular among women.
Don’t miss this display, made with vegetables and fruits on the buffet table in the restaurant.
The head chef makes it every day, carving letters or pictures on it! Wow!
Relaxing time in the library
Also, there is a nice, relaxing library called “Shiraho (white sail).”
Novels or books of paintings are selected using the theme “making people relax.”
You can read any of them in the library, and also, you can take some to your room.
Books or magazines make great partners for your cozy stay at this hotel.
The gallery shop “Menou (agate)”
You can find various souvenirs from Yamaguchi at this shop, including “Kaze-no-Umi,” which is the original sweet served at check-in.
Usually, people plan to go to as many places as possible for sightseeing around their hotel when they travel somewhere.
However, you might just enjoy relaxing at this luxury hotel and forgetting about your daily life!
As you look at the tremendous color of the sky and sea in the twilight from your room, you may realize how luxurious it is to simply do nothing!
