Let’s go to the islands of arts from a Trailer Hotel in Uno port.
Uno Port, located in the southern area of Okayama prefecture, is one of the entrances to the islands of arts, which are going to be sites for the “Setouchi Triennale.”
Ferries here depart to and arrive from Takamatsu (in Kagawa) and many different islands, such as Naoshima, Teshima, Shodoshima, and so on.
You can find 5 camping trailers lined up and parked in the Uno port parking lot.
Actually, these are new type hotel – the “Trailer Hotel SORAUMI,” which opened in 2018.
2 trailer sizes are available for your stay.
There are 5 trailers in all: 2 large size ones for 4-6 people, and 3 small size ones for 2-3 people. The room charge is from 4,625 yen to 6,500 yen per person for each.
You can have an extraordinary experience staying in these trailers!
There are beds, a dining table, a toilet, a shower, a refrigerator, an air conditioner, and even a TV inside each of the trailers!
You can use water and electricity, so spending time in the trailers is very comfortable and just as nice as staying at hotel.
You can find a bunk bed close to the door, and the bathroom is next to the bed.
The small kitchen, microwave, and fridge are on the opposite side, so the layout is very functional, just like a hotel.
A skylight makes the inside of the trailer cheerfully bright in the day time.
There are also amenities such as towels, toothbrushes and so on, and Free Wi-Fi is available, too!
This is the wide bed space in the large size trailer, which is the only difference between the that and the small one.
Actually, the inside of the trailer is pretty open, and you might be able to have a small party with your friends!
We recommend having an extraordinary time at these camping trailers!
Start your “art trip” from Uno port!
The front desk of Trailer Hotel SORAUMI is in a silver trailer called “Air-stream,” which is also parked in the same parking lot.
When you check-in here, and the staff will give you a instructions on how to use the trailers.
Also, you can have a barbecue party on the wood deck in front of this trailer, while gazing out at the sea!
There are some interesting artworks around the hotel, so do not forget to take a look at them before or after going to the islands.
If you are looking for a short excursion, try a ride on “La Malle de Bois※過去記事リンク：https://setouchifinder.com/ja/detail/25904）,” which is an artistic sightseeing train from Uno Station.
It is only a 5 minute walk to the station from the hotel, as well as to the ferry landing area.
The Trailer Hotel SORAUMI should be your base for the island hopping to enjoy fully “Setouchi Triennale.”
