Kura & Kura Matsuri and Kama Matsuri

Naruto is a city in eastern Tokushima that has several traditional sake and soy sauce breweries. The breweries host the Kura & Kura festival every November, offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy brewery tours, sake and soy tastings, as well as participate in other activities such as making soy sauce and miso paste. In conjunction with Kura & Kura, the Kama Matsuri, or Kiln Festival, celebrates Otani ware, a traditional ceramic craft that has its roots in Naruto. During the festival, you can visit local kilns and purchase pottery directly from the artisans.
